Big Game Motorsports and Lasoski Salvage Two Strong Results at AGCO Jackson Nationals

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (Sept. 6, 2016) – Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski has perspective following the 38th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals.

Although the Muddy sponsored team didn’t achieve the goal of winning the marquee $25,000-to-win National Sprint League event at Jackson Motorplex, Lasoski said he sees the positive out of the weekend.

Action began on Saturday with Lasoski qualifying third quickest overall before he advanced from sixth to fourth place in a heat race. That ranked him fourth in total points and with a zero as the feature inversion it lined Lasoski up on the outside of the second row for the 25-lap main event.

“Our objective was to put ourselves in position in the pole shuffle on Sunday to give ourselves a shot at winning the $25,000,” he said. “We got racing and got by Brian (Brown) for second. Sammy (Swindell) was putting down a good pace out front. We had a caution and could look at the tires and knew the track was starting to hurt tires. I went out and set a decent pace. Ian (Madsen) showed Brian there was rubber on the bottom. Like any good driver does he waited for the opportunity to pass me and got by me and Sammy.”

Lasoski held on for the third-place finish, which was the team’s 22nd top five of the season. It also ranked Lasoski fourth in combined qualifying, heat race and main event points following AGCO Jackson Nationals preliminary competition. That locked Lasoski into Sunday’s pole shuffle, where he finished fourth to start the main event on the outside of the second row

“As it played out fourth was better than third,” he said. “We took off and were running third. All of a sudden we had some ignition troubles. It was steadily getting worse. Through the middle stage of the race it kept shutting off. We salvaged an eighth out of it. It was very difficult to drive.”

Lasoski battled the problem for most of the race as he ended eighth, which marked the Muddy backed team’s 29th top 10 of the season. Lasoski now leads the National Sprint League championship standings by 242 points with four points-paying races remaining this season.

Big Game Motorsports will take this weekend off before returning to action Sept. 16 at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, for the Arnold Motor Supply Shootout and Sept. 17 at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., for the FVP Missouri High-Banked Nationals with the National Sprint League and World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
