Jackson Motorplex Makes Minor Adjustment to IMCA Nationals for Good of the Sport

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (Sept. 12, 2018) – There is a slight change for the IMCA Nationals, which is the final event of the season for Jackson Motorplex.

“Due to the fact that Arlington Raceway is hosting a high-paying IMCA stock car race on the same night as the final night of our IMCA Nationals, we have decided to drop the IMCA stock car class from our IMCA Nationals on Sept. 28-29 in order to give all the stock car drivers the opportunity to race for the larger payout,” Jackson Motorplex General Manager Doug Johnson said.

IMCA sport compacts, IMCA hobby stocks, IMCA sport mods and IMCA a mods will race both nights during two complete shows on Sept. 28-29. Additionally, the Late Model Street Stock Touring Series will compete at Jackson Motorplex on Sept. 29 for its final points event of the season.

The Friday night show (Sept. 28) will be Fan Appreciation Night and all fans will get in for FREE. On Saturday (Sept. 29), tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students ages 13-years-old to 18-years-old. Children ages 12-years-old and younger get in free.

Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. each night.

The next event at Jackson Motorplex is the SeaFoam Motor Treatment presents the Open Wheel Nationals on Sept. 21-22. Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids, NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc and IMCA vintage cars will be competing.
